Homemade Goat-Milk Soap
Sue + Michelle.
Sue Barry owns Misty Highland Farm, located at North Rd, Dayville CT. Misty Highland Farm is a small family run farm in East Killingly , CT where they raise Nigerian Dwarf, LaMancha and Mini-LaMancha dairy goats. They strive for correctness in dairy character in raising healthy, friendly goats that will bring many years of usefulness and enjoyment to whomever they find homes with. Each doe is hand milked daily to provide our family with nourishing and fresh high quality milk. They also have a small flock of hens that provide their family with farm fresh eggs each day, several riding horses and two family dogs. The Barry family has been blessed in so many ways and enjoy sharing their little farm with anyone who might want to learn about farming with dairy goats.
Michelle Lyon, from Kingdom Kids Family Farm, recently moved with her family to their new 85 acre farm right down the road. The family of 7 packed up their 25+ goats, chickens, cats and two big dogs and jumped into their new adventure of homesteading. They keep busy with baby goats, milking, and participating in local dairy goat shows. In their "spare" time, they are cultivating their fruit orchard, growing fresh veggies, and most recently, bee-keeping. Visits are welcome at the farm by appointment.
They are just your not-so-average family who laughs a lot, embraces the chaos of life and most of all…..loves God and all of His blessings and creations.
